I pass the time. I go through series and seasons so fast that I often find myself
thinking, what did I watch before this? When did I last watch that? When can
I watch it again! I've decided. I've made the decision to go ahead, starting now
and maybe even a little retro action going on, to log my bad bad TV habit. I'll also
make a comment here and there about "Things to notice" about each TV Series.

The Dead Zone S:1 (May 4 - 6, 2008) - I like it. It reminds me a little of Quantum Leap. Every once in awhile Anothony Michael Hall will make a look that will take me back to 16 Candles and in that moment I can't take him seriously at all as a psycic! Things to notice - Sarah's husband Walt is extraordinarily understanding. Lucky Sarah.

Friday Night Lights S:2 (May 1 - 3, 2008) - Totally good show. Riggins I love. (Rory's Logan is on this Season). Matt Saracin KILLS me but he is SO cute. He makes every scene SO awkward. That is what stands out about Friday Night Lights, the realness and awkwardness that it is. The scene's that don't resolve just end. But I do like the show.

I am sad that Mary (Nikki Cox)has gotten so skinny. They also seem to make her extra stupid and meek in this Season. Maybe to prepare us for her departure from the show. I like Danny and Mary together more than I like Delinda and Danny.
I can't stand Delinda and Danny together. It makes me MAD!
I think instead of asking us what you have watched you should ask what you haven't. It would probably be easier on us!!!
We are watching The Unit S:2 - I love how they are all such a team. Both the men and the women. They are always there to help and support each other and are very good about not passing judgement when someone screws up. I hate that Mac and Tiffy are unable to stay true to each other. It sucks when your husband won't share his inner most feelings with you.
I am watching Desperate Housewives S:2 - I'm sad for Bree that even though she tries her hardest to be the best wife and mother. She can't ever seem to win the love and respect of those she truly wants. I hate the back and forth between Mike and Susan. Right now and up until now Tom has been a doll. I'm afraid that is going to change. Carlos and Gaby are anomalies. I don't understand them. Matthew is hot and kudos to Danielle for going for it!!!!
FYI - Sarah's husband Walt is the real life brother of Colby from Numb3rs!

I agree about The Unit. They are close knit group and that is so nice to see. Sad about Tiffy and Mac. But I think that Mac is trying to save Tiffy from his feelings. And that gets them into trouble.
I think by the end of Season 3, Bree FINALLY gets settled down and happy. And I agree with Mike and Susan and things will happen and then just hopefully they will settle down too.

i'm very, very sad that Women's Murder Club and New Amsterdam aren't returning. i really, really liked both of those shows. a couple of the others ones that it mentioned i was already aware of and they haven't been on so long that i'd moved on but before they had the list they have now they had a different one that also said the shows that were possibly going to be canceled. the unit and himym were both on the list. i was a little shocked!

we finished S:2 of the unit! crazy! i've been wondering where tiffy got the scar on her face from! that relationship is insane, one minute they are trying to have a baby the next they just can't seem to connect or talk with each other and then the next she is pointing a gun at him!!!! it's insane! but he's still the sexiest red-headed stepchild around!
so what should we watch next? x-files? house? the pretender? las vegas? smallville? the closer? hmmmm?????
After hear about Walt and Colby I can totally see them as brothers. They kind of look alike, but they REALLY sound alike.
I am a little concerned that I have not received any of the 'Dead Zones' I ordered last week. I ordered some from Amazon directly and some from Amazon Marketplace. I think I have just been spoiled by some who mail out day of or next after order.

So about Without a Trace. You were right about Jack and Samantha having an affair, BUT they only had one slight conversation about it in Season 1, and it has not been brought up again. I think I'd like the show more if it got a little more personal. i think eventually Sam and Martin will get together. But at the rate they are releasing W.a T. onto DVD I'll be 50 before I know tha or not. In accuality 50 is not too far off for me about 20 years.
Tiffy and Mac totally frustrate me. If they could just learn to communicate with each other thay would be an awesome couple. I feel sorry for there kids!

Alright so X-files it is! I'll let you know what we think once we've started.
Okay we started X-files last night. We only watched one episode but it was suprisingly good for a show that first aired - what 15 yrs ago or more? I can see why it was such a hit. Hopefully I'll still agree after a couple more episodes! I do find it very interesting that over those 15 years we have lost between 5 - 6 minutes of show time that has now become commercial time!!!!
I have 6 episodes left of S:2 of Desperate Housewives. What am I supposed to be watching after that?
I am glad and a little bit surprised that you liked the X-Files pilot so much. I was going to tell you that it will take a little while to really get into the show. But you will.
You should be starting Desperate Housewives S:3 after you finish 2.
I finished Without a Trace S:2 on Saturday 5/17. Jack was going to be moving to Chicago but then his wife told him at the very end that she wanted to go alone. I figured this would happen, but I was kind of surprised that he was willing to go through with the move. It was awfully nice and compromising of him.
I also the saw the Sam/Martin thing coming. Now I'll just have to wait and see if it sticks!
I start S:2 The Dead Zone over the weekend (May 17,2008). I LOVE Walt. He is an awesome husband to Sarah and a great dad to JJ.

so without a trace will be starting their 7th season next fall. I can't believe that! it seems crazy to me! i don't want to say anything about the show because i'm not sure what I know from what season. but i will say that after 6 seasons not a lot of character changes have taken place which is nice!
i did really like the dead zone when I was watching it and i would definitely have to agree with you that Walt is a gem of a husband. i just feel so bad for sarah. she obviously loves both of them. i feel bad for johnny too because it certainly wasn't his fault but he's lost the love of his life and partially lost his son as well!

as far as the pilot eppy of x-files, i was expecting much, much worse. so it wasn't bad. i'm sure it was a huge hit back in 1993!

I told you about Without a Trace. I don't know why you wouldn't trust me. I looked it up after watching the first season and took note that all the main characters were all still on. VERY GOOD! I think it says alot about the show.
I only got the second season of DZ, but I should get the rest shortly.
The preacher gave them to me bad too, but a couple of episodes he's been ok, so . . . it ain't half as bad as the whore of the political bible salesman.
I do feel sorry for all of them. Sarah, Johnny, and Walt. Obviously they all got a raw deal. I love the odd friendship that Walt and Johnny have. One of the episodes I just watched was Johnny trying to save Walt while he was in a comma. It was cool getting to see what happened while Johhny was "sleeping" - to get to see how Walt felt about Johnny and Sarah's new found "relationship". It was good.
It the Ben Josh Kate triangle from Pearl Harbor - kinda - without the best friend thing.
X-Files - the first season I thought was hokey, but it gets alot better.
okay, so i finished the last six episodes of S:2 - DH last night. i have now watched the first 4 of S:3 and i've gotta say it is taking me a long time to get into this season. not sure why but at one point w/o thinking i got up and put my coffee in the microwave and went to the bathroom and i didn't even pause it!
I am sorry that you are that into the third season. It was a pretty long time after I watched the 1st and 2nd season that the 3rd came out. I guess when i think about it it picks up 6 months in the future or soemthing, right? That kinda makes things wierd.
I finished the 2nd Season of DZ on 5/22/08. I still really hate Greg Stinson. The eppy Reiko guest starred on was really good!

2nd Season of Without a Trace - on one of the eppy's Mac (from VM) came in because she thought that she had been kidnapped as a child. In one of her flashbacks as a little girl she had a teddy bear that was Teddy!

I finished LOST last night as I had suspected I would. It was an excellent season. Maybe not quite as good as the 1st but definately better then the second. Christian Slaters wife from Alias (the one that was a spy), she was on an episode. Nessa from Las Vegas guest starred as well as James Lesure who was on Alias (guest star) and is Mike Canon on Las Vegas.
Things are picking up on DH S:3. I just don't like Mike and Edie together at all! But I love Bree's storyline. It will be interesting to see how it changes. She is really starting to show. But isn't bed ridden yet.
I don't remember Mike guest starring on Alias or Lost! Lost is definitely an exciting show but one of the kind that you can't miss an episode without being totally lost! Ha, ha - no pun intended!

So we watched another eppy of X-files last night and it was pretty good. But Keith felt that he could only watch about 30 more minutes or so of tv so we decided to pull out the kitchen confidental and start it - planning on only watching one eppy. we turned it off after 3!!! i really like the show and wonder why it was canceled. i wonder if it is just really hard to get half hour comedy shows to stick around? i think it has to do with the fact that if the 2 shows that make up the hour are not both great then neither will get watched because people want something to entertain them for the whole hour so they find an hour long show instead. ??????

I think that pairing the X-Files up with another show, at least to start you out and get you into it might work nicely. But don't give up on the X-Files!

Watched the first eppy of Brothers & Sisters yesterday. I had already seen it when it originally aired. I actually watched a couple of eppys when it first started!
Keith and I also watched Dan in Real Life last night. It was really good but not categorized properly. They have is listed as a comedy but it was more substantial than that. Very good with some sad memories.

I am going to finish The Dead Zone tonight and even though the Final Season of The DZ was released on Tuesday and I do have it on order it won't make it here on time and no one has it in store (BB or CC). SO I am going to have to watch something interum. I have Lipstick Jungle, but it is only 7 episodes. That won't last me. hmmm, what to watch . . .

Lets start with DH - Dennis Martino is a bastard - always has been!!! Doesn't seem to matter what show he's on. And yes I do love Carlos now. I can't imagine them being able to find someone else that would have the passion that those two have. They work very well on screen together. As far as the whole Edie thing goes - ???? I'm at a loss for words and I'm assuming that she isn't really dead! And I'm so excited for Mike and Susan. I'm glad they did the small, intimate ceremony. Very romantic!
I'm not on eppy 9 of Bros and Sis. I'm enjoying it but it certainly is full of the drama. I've cried tons!!! I don't know which two guys were on Bones. I know that at least three of them were on Alias but I can't place any of them on Bones. There are a few eppys from each season that I have missed though. ????
We are loving Kitchen Confidential and are still so shocked that it got canceled. But I will say that I can't stand all the smoking!!! I think that we have watched 5 eppys of X-files. I'm hoping that KC and HIMYM will be able to sustain us until the X-files grips us and won't let us go. Keith is harder to convince than I. We'll see?!?!

Season 3 of DH was definately good.
It doesn't sound like you are too thrilled with Brothers and Sisters. The two guys from the TV show that Kitty was on. The handsome guy was Bones's instructor during her internship and the host was a priest on an epy of Bones where he was getting poisoned. Funny thing is that that same guy is also a priest on the show I am watching now, J o A.
To be honest with you, The West Wing would be a good one to watch now too with the Presidental Election in full swing.

I'm liking Bros & Sis's fine it just has a different vibe than DH. I guess we are back to "getting in the swing of a new show". DH had a lot more humor and everything was always over the top. B&S has more of a political agenda and more serious and relative issues that they discuss and deal with. Joan of Arcadia is actually one of those shows that I never really watched ever. It was only on for 2 seasons?
I don't recall ever saying that you don't have time to facebook. I think that you have as much time as you make. And really facebook doesn't take that much time at all. I have mine set up so that when i post on my blog it goes to my facebook acct but most of the other stuff on my facebook is just things that I've found and decided to add but really it doesn't HAVE to take up very much of your time at all. You really should check mine out!

So I started back up on B & S last night. Watched two episodes. I've gotta say that while it is enjoyable when you watch it, it doesn't draw me back like lots of other shows where I just can't wait to be able to sit down and watch and can barely turn it off at night. I even find my mind wandering at times or thinking of other shows I'd like to be watching. It may end up taking awhile for me to finish it.
And so far we haven't gotten back to the X-files. Did see a preview last night for a new show w/ Simon Baker and the Austrailian or British chef that was on Kitchen Confidential! Looks like it is going to be really good. It also has the dark haired attorney that Linc loved who was shot from Prison Break.
I was thinking about X-Files this morning. I REALLY like it. There are so many interesting episodes. Try to keep with it.
I am surprised about Brothers and Sisters. I was pretty hooked when i watched it.

As far as the X-files goes, it's a slow, slow process. We have watched 7 episodes. We've actually watched an eppy for the past two nights. But if we don't kick it up a notch or two and start watching more than one eppy per night, a couple nights a week. We will still be watching the X-files NEXT SUMMER!!!!

I finished Brothers & Sisters Season 1 last night. I will plan on starting on Friday Night Lights today!
Keith and I have been slowly but surely watching the X-files. We've made it to the third disc! We are on 1:10. So many eppy's to go!
SO . . . currently on the 4th Season of the Profiler. I am getting quite anxious to be done with this series.
From the beginning I was suprised at how dark it is. I have been disappointed in the bad casting decisions and the lack of story that accompanies it. Characters leave without any explanation at all and they are never talked about again. And the ones that do have a reason to leave, do you really not ever talk about people who where such a big part of your life. The worst so far of course is the departure of Dr.Sam Waters, Alli Walker. I wasn't too excited about her at first but I think she did a great job playing this character who was clearly struggling this this gift she had that completely haunted her. But after three seasons she is gone and no one has talked about her since! Rachel (the new profiler) who I can't stand!!!! stumbles on the realization that Bailey is in love with Samantha in the Season finale/season premier season 3/4, which makes total sense although I would have never said it out loud. But he doesn't deny it,he almost seems glad to have it out in the open and then Sam gone nothing ever said about it again. WHY??? Why bring it up if you aren't going to follow through?

Last nights eppy had Max Martini. OH MY GOSH! His must have lost a LOT of weight since then! He wasn't heavy in the body but his face looked like it had swelled up from a BAD BAD bee reaction. It was SO difficult to watch.
Anyhow. A couple days left and I will be through with The new Profile Rachel Burke. I am afraid that she and Bailey will end up together at the end of this. Another sucky thing is that in this season w/ Sam gone, Grace and her husband and getting divorced, George is addicted to pain pills, John has turned into even more of a male whore. I just DON'T like it.

I think mom would like to borrow Brothers and Sisters now that you are done.
So I've decided not to continue with FNL right now. I'm actually going to start Veronica Mars though I'm also thinking about OTH. But I don't have season 4 or 5 yet so I'm not sure.
I will try and get Bros & Sis to mom the next time I see her but I don't think that she is going to like it - at all!
Keith and I have 7 eppys left of the first season of the X-Files. Our regular shows are starting up next week so it will be interesting to see how quickly we end up finishing the X-Files.

Oh my gosh. I don't know if I've laughed out loud as much on any other series. Adam Brody's character is SOOOOOO funny. I find myself having to rewind so I can hear what people are saying after him because I am laughing SO loud.

I just think it too weird that David Duchovny is in rehab for a sex addiction and we happen to be watching his most "famous" work!!! Heeheehee!
Anyway we are 5 eppys away from the S:1 finale. We watched two last night. The last one was about "shapeshifters" or werewolves (as I would call them) and a ranch and an Indian Reservation. At the very end of the episode an old Indian with a blind eye says to Fox, "I'll see you again in 8 years". I want to know if they go back there in the 8th season because that would be pretty neat. Also on Tuesday the eppy we watched had Curtis from 24 on it!
So I still haven't started anything else for myself. I'm still thinking Veronica Mars but Heather really wants me to watch GG as she just finished it and wants to be able to talk about the ending. So I'm undecided. ????
How's the O.C. and Adam Brody????

I am happy that you guys will at least have watched one full season of X-Files.
I will finish the 1st Season of the O.C. tonight. I have always liked Adam Brody, even when he played a meteor freak on Smallville, but he is SO great on The O.C. still so so funny. If you want to make things interesting I can get you the first season and you can start the O.C.
I'm loving it. Really. Peter Gallaugher is hilarious in it too. He's Adam's jew father.

I don't even know what to say. I really enjoyed the show. I am sad to be done and all day I keep trying to decide what I am going to do when I get home . . . start something new or start reading again!
The first 3 seasons were supper heavy w/ the Marissa/Ryan drama. Sometimes getting pretty dark. Season 3 finale when she dies in Ryan's arms . . . eek! I knew it was coming but WOW! Season 4 took while to get back, but once did it was pretty light hearted. You actually see Ryan smile and laugh more than in almost the rest of the season's combined. The last couple episodes have a number of funny comments referring to the shows coming end. The last episode seemed a bit rushed, but they did a good job of wrapping things up and giving us a glimpse at the future of the characters.
I'd give the show a 4 out of 5 star rating.

So we finished S:1 of X-Files and have now started S:2. I'm sure that it will be slower going on watching now that our shows are coming back on TV but we are also getting more and more attached to Mulder and Scully so I'm hoping that we will be able to keep chugging along at a good pace.
Glad to hear you are planning on sticking with Fox and Dena for the time being.

It felt good to read.
After watching the OC which takes place in Newport Beach, I thought it was fitting to read the CM Series, also with us heading down to Southern Cali soon. RJG started a new series about Katie and Mom got me the first book so I will start that after.
I don't think we've met the Lone Gunman yet. We've met Deep Throat and now he's dead. We'v met smoking man but I don't know the Lone Gunman.
The Lone Gunmen are 3 conspiracy therists that are old friends of Mulders. They are an interesting group.

Yes, we have met the Lone Gunmen. I almost mentioned meeting a group of conspiracy theory nerds but didn't think you could be talking about them. Ha, ha!
I actually haven't started anything else yet. I little too busy. And I want to watch whatever i watch while walking but since I don't have shoes yet - that isn't happening yet!
I gave up on waiting for new shoes. Hopefully I'll get them this weekend. But at this point I'll already be on the second season of VM. Right now I'm on the 5th disc - 2nd episode!
9/17/08 - Last night I finished The Christy Miller Series
12 books in one week! Just about the amount of time it would take me to watch one season on DVD.
I'm proud of myself for going a whole week without TV. AND I'm having so much fun.

so i'm now on s:2 of VM eppy 9. keith and i are on eppy 9 also of s:2 of x-files. that is much slower going now that our regular shows that we watch are all coming back on. i really want to get a DVR but don't think that will happen anytime soon! i've gotta figure out our vcr player and make sure it can tape things in the other room!
right now i'm reading a book by Linda Hall called Dark Waters. it's okay. it's really annoying when you start a book and then it's just not that good. do you wait it out and hope that it gets better? what if it doesn't get any better and it turns into a huge waste of your time to have read it in the first place! ANNOYING! this is why I try and stay with the authors I know I like but then I keep thinking - what about those authors that are phenominal and I won't try them because I too concerned about maybe reading a boring or dumb book?!?

I'm SO INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED!!!! I finished the Veronica Mars series tonight. For some strange reason after watching the 20th episode I thought I had two more eppy's to go before the season and series was finished. So that made the crappy ending, even that much crappier!!!! I truly can't even begin to tell you how frustrating and sad it is to finish a series out like that!!! It totally sucks!!!
Yes. I remember thinking the same thing, there should be a couple more eppy's and then . . . nothing! What a terrible ending. I absolutely hate it when they cancel a show and don't give them enough time to wrap things up. I'd rather a hastily presented ending than no ending or resolve at all.
I love Dell in the last season.
I am sorry that you are so disappointed. I was too, but I know that you like VM quite a bit more than I do.
What are you going to start watching next? How is the X-Files coming - are you still watching it on occasion?
x-files is still coming along slowly. we haven't been watching as much with the start of new shows and other shows we already watch. we are definitely liking it more.
i'm not sure what i'm going to watch. maybe back to friday night lights? or maybe i'll start over with GG since i haven't seen the last season? any suggestions. i also have BTVS and Angel. of course there are two seasons of OTH that I haven't seen but since i don't have the 5th season yet i don't really want to start that.
heather is on the 3rd season of VM. her and james are hooked. and they both loved GG as well. i told her i'm having her watch Roswell next. i think I'm ready to watch those again too! we watched the movie the tattooist w/ jason behr. it was really good.
I have thought about watching Roswell again. I watched a movie the other night 'See Jane Date'. Jane is Charisa Carpenter. It was pretty cute. I vote for Buffy and Angel.
BUT I also must at least suggest The O.C. it is REALLY funny!
